Technical Overview of the System
The installed system comprises two independent desalination units, each serving a distinct purpose within the hospital’s infrastructure:
🔸 Unit 1 – Double-Pass Low TDS Desalination System:
- Production Capacity: 100,000 liters per day
- Function: Supplies low salinity water for general hospital needs
- Key Features:
- Double-pass reverse osmosis (RO) technology for high salt rejection efficiency
- Automated control via PLC/HMI interface
- Pre-treatment stages including sediment filtration, activated carbon, and antiscalant dosing
- Stainless steel piping and pressure-rated components for long-term durability
🔸 Unit 2 – Zero TDS RO System for Hemodialysis:
- Production Capacity: 50,000 liters per day
- Function: Produces ultra-pure, salt-free water for dialysis machines
- Key Features:
- Advanced RO system with post-treatment polishing unit
- Integrated UV sterilization and bacterial control measures
- Fully compliant with international standards for dialysis water quality
- Continuous monitoring of conductivity, pressure, and flow rates
🏠 Supporting Infrastructure:
- A dedicated, climate-controlled technical room was constructed to house and protect both units.
- All equipment is designed to operate reliably under Gaza’s variable water pressure and challenging environmental conditions.
